Well, I did it. I bought a Dell Mini netbook with Snow Leopard installed. Very cool, fast and even runs Canvas with Rosetta. How much you ask? $350!!!!
I'll bring it to the next meeting.

1--What is it that makes this netbook accept the Mac OS?? I don't understand "Hackintosh"...

2--I'm curious about this net book, Can you point me to a specs page and would you specify which model,etc?

3-- So what do you get for $350?

4--How does this compare with the MacBook you already use?

5--How do you plan to use all these devices??

Question 4: Compact, light and cheap.

Question 5: Actually bought for my wife, who's not really interested so much in learning a computer but wants to load pictures and view like digital frame, check family members on Facebook, and do some online shopping.
-I know that this sounds like the perfect use for the iPad but keep in mind that this device is $150 cheaper than the iPad. Also, if I want to use it, it has all the applications that I commonly use: Canvas, iWork, Freeway, etc. 1 GB ram and 160 GB HD allows me to load many of my applications and (god forbid) it ever got stolen I wouldn't be out $1000.
